Ear problem?

So I've had this ear problem for about 7 months now and what happens is when I'm at school and everyone is talking, when I go to higher elevations or when I exercise my left ear feels like it needs to pop when I'm talking? But I can't and my voice feels kind of echoey? But I can hear fine and I sometimes get ear pain. I went to the doctors and they said I had swimmers ear so I got antibiotic ear drops but they did nothing. Does anybody know what's wrong with my ear?

  • I'd go to a different doctor, and tell them this has been going on for 7 months. Your ear is definitely clogged. It could be allergies. This is happening more to people now. Maybe ask around for who is a good doctor. Some of them are worthless.

  • could be an allergy

  • Go see an ENT doctor, I had the too and it was a sinus infection and blocked eustachian tube its really uncomfortable so I know how you feel. Ask for a referral to an ENT or find one on your own...they will be able to help you. Also in the mean time you could try to get some nasal spray like flonase that may help

  • Residual irritation left over from swimmer's ear. Could have

    infection still in there, too.

  • Yes, you need to go back to the ENT doctor and tell him those antibiotics didn't seem to work. Different antibiotics fix different germs, and it sounds as if you either didn't have the one you really needed, or you may not have taken it for long enough. Whatever the issue, back to the ear.nose, and throat specialist you go.

For now, pointing a warm hair dryer into your ear canal will help with the pain. It increases the circulation, which will help with any fluid build-up.

  • It could be your wisdom tooth growing because It causes ear pain. I am not sure if that's your case though. You can go to a different doctor to make sure.

  • what your doctor said that is right i think......try to talk to your doc one more time ...he could help
