Take the top line 3p^2 - 5p/2 :: p = 5 :: So (3 x 25) - (5 x 5)/2 = 75 - 12.5 = 62.5
The bottom line 7p -10 = (7 x 5) - 10 = 35 - 10 = 25
If your answer is correct then your top line is badly presented :~
Should it be :~(3p^2 -5p)/25 ???
If so (75 - 25) / 2 = 25 & this gives you 25/25 = 1
May I suggest that brackets explain & clarify problems ~~ you can see from the above how it can give a different problem if brackets are not used ~~BRACKETS ARE YOU FRIENDS!!!!
