Why is my Sony Bravia 46' 1080p 120hz tv so dark?
I just got it a few hours ago but when i turn it on everything looks really dark. So I tried to set the brightness, back light, sharpness and color to the max but it barely gotten brighter, is there anything I could do to make it brighter or is the TV dark cause it's brand new?

That's not good. The brightness should be fine in around 40-60% I would imagine. There's definitely no reason you should have to max it out.
You might want to call Sony's 1-800 and see what they say. Or throw in a calibration DVD and see if that helps any. If you can't even get it calibrated (because say you can't get it bright enough to do what the disc asks) then you might have to return it. Maybe there's a manufacturing flaw in the set.
The set being new should not make it dark. There's nothing that needs to get "broken in" to make it work better. It should be at its best brand new.
The TV is dark because it is DEFECTIVE.
Take it back and exchange it for another TV. Even Sony makes a lemon television once in a while.
