i want to be an electrician and i dont know what path i should take. ive been thinking about trade school because id rather not have to do english and math in colage. what should i do?
Don't go to one of those over-commercialized private trade schools!! Go to a state-run vo-tech school or some state universities have associate degrees in trade areas like this. A friend of mine left a sales job to to enter an apprenticeship program for electricians and has been very happy. Search the web and get more information!
I don't consider it inferior. A 4-year, traditional college isn't for everyone. But a trade school is also not for everyone. Some people aren't interested in trade jobs. I don't think one is better than the other.
trade school. I would even go as far as to suggest going to a community college for that. There are going to be some trade schools that offer certificates, or degrees in that, but trust me the commumity college is the same thing. It's just about 5 times cheaper.
Always go to a real college. They will usually get you more money and your degree will give you something to fall back on if you feel you didn't make the right choice. Trade schools are more business than they are schools. My girlfriend works for one and even the whole staff admits the program is a joke.
Dont you have to be at least good at maths to be an electrician? It wouldnt be detailed english either, just the basics- which will help if you decide to have your own electrician business.
Man, if you can't spell it you probably don't belong there. Go to trade school! Plus you don't go to college to be an electrician, you go to trade school.

Trade school.
4 year college degree. Kicks @$$ in Trivia Pursuit. Spent 3 years bagging groceries.
You'er going to have to do English and math regardless of where you go. It's not going to hurt you. It can only make you a better person.
Trade school is where you'll need to look at regarding electricial careers though.

Go to trade school first and get your licence. Then if you want more money and education, you can go back to school to become an electrial engineer.
Trade skool man trust me
