How do you manually uninstall a program?
I downloaded a game & i want to uninstall it. I tried by going from start, programs, etc & clicking on the program & selecting uninstall, nothing happens. I tried from the add/remove programs application, but it does as if somethings loading but then it stops & the program is still there. So my only choice is to manually uninstall it, so how do i do this?
Update:please be detailed, im not much of a computer whiz , so a step by step explanatation will really help.

Try going into safe mode and then uninstalling the program via the add/remove program feature.
If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power then turn the computer on.
Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.
The above step is the easiest way. Another safe mode step is selecting 'start > run' then typing in 'MSCONFIG' and selecting the BOOT.INI tab at the top of the box that appears then checking the '/safeboot' box.
The above steps are for Windows XP, below is a link for all Windows operating systems.

If this fails you can do a manual uninstall, this is done by going to the directory in which the program was saved. This is usually 'C:/Program Files/nameofgamehere' you want to delete the whole folder. Replace C with the drive letter of your primary drive. (This may require been in safe mode for some files). You then need to delete any registry files, the game created, but this is unadvised due to the problems it can cause so i'm not giving any details on how to do that.
Hope some of this helps.

go for the game short cut and right click and pres properties
and lock at the short cut directory and lock at the target
it well say the game place on the computer it must be
in "C:\Program Files go inside the file and delete the game
manually.
Can be really difficult. You may need to do a registry search and delete any reference to the software. If you are not familiar with editing the registry, you can try to do a system restore to a point just before you installed the software and then just delete the folder where the software is installed.
go program files
inside the folder you just have to delete the game directory
Go to your START button select SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL, and follow te icons for ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS.
Good luck.
