how do you do this algebra 1 problem?

graph the function g(x)=x+3 where the domain is { -5,-4,-3,-2,-1,0,1}

Comments

  • Well obviously we won't be able to graph the answer here on Y!A.

    But just take every number in the curly brackets and plug it in for x. The answer will be a (x,y) point.

    So for example, the first point, -5:

    g(x) = x + 3

    g(-5) = (-5) + 3

    g(-5) = -2

    So you would plot the point (-5,-2) on the graph.

  • same as you wud do y=x+3...where x = -5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0 ,1
