Could I hook my keyboard (piano) up to a PA system?

Can I go online and buy a portable PA system and hook my keyboard up to it will that work? Cause right now I just have a small amp only loud enough for my bedroom

  • As long as your keyboard has a Line Out (or line outs if it's stereo), or even a headphone jack (not as desireable, but workable), then yes you can hook up to a PA.

Running a keyboard through a PA is a lot better than going through a guitar amp (if that's what you're doing).

As to what cables / adapters you would need, that entirely depends on the keyboard and the PA you wind up buying.

    Good luck.

  • Assuming by ability of keyboard you're pertaining to an digital synth. It incredibly relies upon on the variety of synth. At minimum, a piano has a minimum of 88 keys spanning seven octaves (plus a minor 0.33), it produces sound as loud as how no longer undemanding the keys are performed, and a pedal that facilitates the tones to be sustained. A extreme end Roland or Korg would have those good factors, yet maximum keyboard synthesizers won't, or perhaps the Roland and Korg are no longer any replace for a real piano.
