Does Windows Vista Service Pack 3 affect FairUse4WM Fix-2 for Vista?
I'm just wondering if I download and install Windows Vista Service Pack 3, will it affect FairUse4WM Fix-2 for Vista?
Should I make a restore point before installing Service Pack 3 and if it does affect FairUse4WM, just do a system restore to the previous point?

Point of clarity, there is no Vista Service Pack 3. Only Service Pack 1. Service Pack 3 that is coming out soon is the final service pack for Windows XP.
As far as your question goes, it should not affect any legal software on your computer (most Service Packs, contrary to popular belief, don't really do anything about illegal software either with the exception of occasionally locking an OS with a blacklisted key, but if it's already activated and has passed validation checks, then it shouldn't affect it anyways) .
Setting a manual restore point is always advisable before installing any software on your system. Some program (Microsoft included) say they're creating Restore points, but sometimes don't do it correctly on an automated basis. Doing it manually is the always best way.
SP2 fixes somewhat some errors that as reported previously Sp1 did not get. there's a listing of courses which will adventure subjects working, or only wont run in any respect. maximum of those courses are virus/anti-secret agent ware courses yet staring on the respected web pages will practice you concepts on the thank you to repair the subject. so some distance as crashing your gadget, very not likely. Microsoft takes into consideration of all the platforms that it is being run on and makes particular that any one that runs vista won't run into subjects via fact of updating to it. as some distance via fact the remark approximately growing to be a restore factor and backing up your information i might propose that as quickly as doing any enormous patch like this.
Hrm.
Didnt Vista SP 1 just come out? I know that SP3 for XP is either out or coming out..
