Well, without a make and full model number we cannot tell if it is possible. Some notebooks can have the graphics upgraded if they have an MXM slot (mini PCIe), but it is expensive to do the upgrade. Most notebooks can have their processor removed, but it is very hard to find the correct processor to upgrade to, and you are restricted to a very small range that will work. There won't be a very noticeable increase in performance.

The HCL ME L74 that google showed me uses an i5, which is newer/faster than Core 2.
There is no such thing as a P6 processor. If you mean http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P6_%28microarchitectu... then NO, you cannot upgrade to a Core 2 Duo which uses a different socket/chipset.
you can upgrade it but its going to need allot of work and grounding.
