Add custom patches to PS3?

How do you add custom made patches for video games such as NBA 2k12 to your PS3 from internet? I've never done it before.

    Its not possible. Custom patches only exist for PC.

    Normally, when you go online, and you start playing a game. It will detect that there is a newer version and download it, and install it.

    I have had it a few times on my 360. It hasn't happened a lot on my PSX3.

    Also, it might add patches when buying and downloading add-ons.

    PSX has upgraded his OS a few times, that usually happens when you log in to the online store.
