I AM CANADIAN, EH.
-Living in igloos - as neat as that sounds - NO - but I used to build snow forts when i was a kid. Does that count?
-Saying "eh" a lot - not really,eh.
-Being overly nice - I prefer polite, gracious, and tolerant. Easy for me to say; there isn't anything but white people where I live.
-Mispronouncing words such as "house", or "about". ("Aboot, Hoose".) - I prefer 'residence' OR 'abode'
-Being good at hockey - can't skate to save my life. But I do have a scar from a hockey stick under my nose that I picked up in a fight once.
-Having a unique french accent - I reject all that is French.
-Being "outdoors-y" - only if you count the fact that I live in the country
-Having a horse-mounted police force - our RCMP drive FORD LTDs and TAHOES. They only use the horses for special ceremonies and for display and crowd control.
-Lack of military - well. it's not as large as the USA and we have no nukes. But we whipped the USA's A S S the last time they invaded us. The Americans hate it when we remind them about it so I do it every chance I get.
-A love for maple syrup - without a doubt. Unfortunately most maple syrup these days, isn't. Unless you go into the bush and make it yourself it's cut with corn syrup or watered down with glucose. And it costs too much even in Canada, eh.
I rather love stereotypes.
And actually they rather excel at Hockey and a good chunk do speak French, Aye?
I dont think about canada that much. the only thing i know about is the "eh" thing and the funny accent. other than that no steryotypes come to mind.
Frankly, I don't think most Americans think of Canada at all.
americans only think of americans it is the reason they are so loved worldwide
alot of americans do think that. To be honest, I even think that.
