We were doing monologues in literature class today and we were told to remember one tip. Show not tell. Don't say things like, I was feeling sick today. Be like, today, I almost vomited, my hands were clammy. My head was steamy...What if...what if I actually vomited. I'd never go back to the school.
That's a key tip! Be the character, write how someone would usually think. Imagine an actor performing you monologue, don't make it like a story which they have to read, have it like a play they have to act.
