Computer never goes into sleep mode?
I have set my Plan settings to put my laptop into sleep mode after 30 minutes but it never does. Sometimes I'll be watching a movie and fall asleep and hours and hours later I wake up to find that the screen is dimmed black but when I press a key or touch the touchpad everything will just pop right back up and the movie has stopped playing which means that during these hours and hours there's been no activity. I've just been wasting a lot of power.
Is there a way to make sure that my laptop gets put into sleep mode or hibernation after a certain time of idle use??
I'm using Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron 1545
Update:Wow. Obviously it CAN'T be sleep mode because again I've set my POWER BUTTON so that when I press it it'll go into sleep mode. It's different from when I just leave my computer on for hours and hours.
Are you guys saying that there is 2 sleep modes or that my computer is wrong???

That's exactly what sleep mode is. When you press the key it goes into hibernate mode, not sleep mode. There ARE multiple versions of sleep, and there have been ever since the release of Windows XP in 2000.
It's a sleep mode.
that is sleep mode.
try giving him a few warm megabytes and rocking him to sleep.
