Else if you don't want to wait in a long line, you go to a Best Buy or computer store out in the middle of nowhere and have them do it. They do charge for service though.
ok go to archmemory.com look up your model and brand it will tell you how many slots you have and the max you can put in it and the type then go to tigerdirect.com or ebay and buy what you need

it all depends on how much more RAM you want. for 1GB i baught some for about $70 its pretty easy to install but it can get ugly if you mess up.
if you have the chip with you and you know how to do it it wont take you more than 10 minutes
