Weird sparks from car?
I usually find my self behind some kind of car on the freeway or city streets where its usually either a pick up truck or suv but sometimes also a sedan size car... well as im driving behind these cars out of no where sparks start flying from underneath the tires.. im not exactly sure what it is? im sure its not cigarette buds or anything but it just randomly happens it seems like something really hot just drops from the car and explodes into a bunch of red spots, any clue what that is?

are you in a region with severe winter weather? first guess is you are seeing sparks from studded snow tires as the studs grind on the asphalt they spark intermittently and eventually fall out of the tire a word of caution these are like a small caliber bullet and will not only penetrate your windshield but can be deadly one of the main reasons studded tires are outlawed in most states
Could be lowriders dragging a piece of metal welded to the frame on the ground just to cause sparks.
it sounds like your dragging something under your vehicle. It could be part of your exhaust system or something wedged under the car. Try having a mechanic put your car on a lift and see what may be loose.
