It's simple. Do putting wrestlers in hardcore based matches draw ratings, buy rates and people into arenas?
It's not like back in the day, where two wrestlers meeting in a freakin' No DQ match would draw thousands.

I think it depends more on who the actual wrestlers are competing in the match.If they're talented and charismatic stars who are over with the fans, then any gimmick match is going to be a big draw.
Like virtually every other gimmick match, 'hardcore' matches are now common-place and draw no better than any other form of match.
Yes, especially now that WWE is PG and doesn't do a lot of those anymore.
Of course, I think an entire submission PPV is stupid, as is TNA's all cage match PPV.
