Eczema steroid cream alternatives?!!!?
So I've had eczema on and off all my life.. Usually my eczema isn't too bad and after being treated, it goes away for a while. But since April of this year I've had REALLY bad eczema all over my body AND upper lip. None of the creams I used to use worked anymore, so I went to the doctor, who prescribed me 'topical corticosteroid cream'. It does help, but it doesn't work as well as I like it to.
AND, here's my concern: I realized that the skin above my lips are starting to look a different color than the rest of my face... sort of a green/yellow tint? And on top of that, the skin looks a llittle bit wrinkly? I'm not sure if this makes sense or not. But anyway, so I did research and found out that steroid creams can cause pigmentation problems in the skin and cause thinning. I'm only 19, this is not okay to me! It looks like I have a moustache in some lightings, and in photos, and I'm not okay with that. Are there any alternatives?!

I have had eczema my whole life. At one point all over my body too. Now however i am pretty much eczema free. I usually use steroid cream to calm it and then use normal cream after that. Do not use steroid cream on face at all. Use hydrocortisone if it gets too bad but not a strong steroid. U can buy hydrocortisone in pharmacy and its a really weak steroid so good for face if needed desperately. In bath use aveeno oil. Its amazing and stops itching. You can buy it anywhere. Aveeno cream is also amazing. Stops the itching too. Bath regularly and moisturise regularly. Don't over do it with moisturising either because that can also cause itchiness. Drink loads of water. Don't wear clothes that will make you itch either. Stay away from wool or similar material and wear cotton stuff if possible. After bath never rub yourself dry, always pat only. Almond oil can also be good for eczema but don't over do it because your skin can get hot and itchy. Also only use non bio clothes wash. Another good moisturiser apart from aveeno is Doublebase gel. Its amazing. If your eczema doesn't go, go back to your doctor and demand ultra violet light treatment. They can refer you to a hospital that will give you the treatment and make your eczema go completely. I had that treatment done. Worked within 2 weeks. Anyway good luck and don't worry, eczema never stays if you treat it properly and find what works for you.

Natural treatment worked best for me without harmful effects of steroids. I used SerenaSkin eczema herbal remedies - ointment and spray on the skin, and anti-eczema extract internally to prevent future breakouts. It is the most effective treatment I've ever tried. More than a year later my skin is still clear.

I myself suffer from extreme eczema, terrible, red, itchy, blotchy and very very dry, i went to the doctors nd they gave me a light teroid cream as i have very sensitive skin, works a treat. But if steroids isnt for him, go to the chemist and buy Aqeouis cream, its like a soap, funny smell but extremly effective. If that doesnt cut it for you, i just to have a warm bath nd then soak in tea tree oil for about 15 minutes, once youve soaked it in, apply plenty of E45 or sudo cream. Hope this helps.
Candidiasis:
Non-Disseminated candidiasis. Which leads to 'leaky gut' which leads to food intolerances.
This occurred due to hormonal upheavals in puberty. The yeast Candida Albicans morphed into the pathogenic fungal form. 'Mycelial Candida'.
The bloating, puffy face etc are IBS and the associated histamine reaction.
This is easy to cure with Nystatin. You need 2 consecutive courses of 2 million IU per day, that is 5 drops 4 times a day. It tastes vile and requires your compliance.
However doctors are hard to pursuade that this is the treatment. In the UK, go to St John's hospital for diseases for the skin in Leicester square, London.
The Atkins diet will starve the Candida, but not kill it.
It is not a gluten free diet, but a sugar and carb free diet. Candida live on sugars and carbs.
You can take 180mg Fexofenadine will help calm it down until you can get Nystatin, but is not a cure and not a long term solution.
Teaspoon of cod liver oil with every meal is beneficial too.
