I'm going through a lot and i met this online prophet, he didn't ask me for money or anything, but he told me things and most of it was true, he described exactly how i was feeling but he was off about 1 or 2 things? so how do you tell do they to be 100% accurate? how do i tell if they're real?

NOT ALL PR0PHECIES ARE OF GOD:
Seven Ways to Judge Prophecy
1. By their fruits you shall know them. (Matthew 7:16-18,20)
2. Does it glorify Christ? (John 16:14; I Corinthians 12:3; I John 4:1-2)
3. Does it agree with the Scriptures? (Isaiah 8:20)
4. Are their prophecies fulfilled? (Deuteronomy 18:22) Some prophecies are not of God even though they may come to pass. The benchmark remains that all prophecies should exalt the Lord Jesus.
5. Is the prophecy disjointed or confused? True prophecy is line upon line and precept upon precept.
(Isaiah 28:13)
6. Do the prophecies produce liberty or bondage? (Romans 8:15)
7. All believers have an unction (anointing) within them that tells them when something is wrong. Prophecies should witness with our spirit.
(I John 2:20,27)
*also, the gift of prophecy isn't 'telling the future' it's speaking the word of God
Deuteronomy 18:21-22 answers your question. It says, "And if you say in your heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the LORD has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." If a prophet is real, then the things he says will come true. If he is not real, then what he says will not come true.
If you look at the Old Testament prophets, they were spot on about everything because they were saying what God told them to say. Even if it seemed crazy for someone to say it, what they said always came true. There was a 100% accuracy rating with them. If this guy doesn't have a 100% accuracy rating, he's probably just a con-man and I would stop bothering with him.
"MOST" should be your first clue.
The "test" for a true prophet from God is 100% accuracy, along with being accurate and precise. The punishment for failing to be 100% accurate was being stoned to death.
Prophesy is a spiritual gift from God. And with that gift usually comes someone else in "the Body of Christ" (the church) who possesses the spiritual gift of "discernment," that is, they can discern if that person is of God or of the devil. God is not a God of confusion, so along with the gift of prophesy comes the assurance that that prophet is a TRUE prophet.
Please read the article below regarding false prophets/teachers. It is very informative.
Now, if you are actually speaking of someone who purports to see the future, i.e. a "seer" or "psychic," again, if they are OFF about ANYTHING, they are NOT to be trusted, their "predictions" are suspect.
Here's a kicker, however. Satan knows past history very well, and he will use that to mix in truth with his lies. But don't be mislead, just because a spirit, medium, psychic knows what has happened in the PAST does NOT mean they know what the FUTURE holds. Satan wishes to do this simply to mislead people away from God. But mixing lies with truth never equals truth... a little leaven leavens the whole lump!
Even Nostradamus was not 100% accurate, and even a blind squirrel will dig up a nut now and then.
Forgive others as I have forgiven you.
Umm what?
By the word Prophet, by which religion? Each religion has their own.
And as a Muslim, and in all of the three monotheistic Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), we all believe and it's in our teachings, that a true Prophet of God, has mircales.
I don't know if the guy proclaiming to be a prophet that you met online, describes himself as a prophet of one of the Abrahamic religion or not.
But if he is telling you that he is, then he surely is not.
What proof and mircales does he have containing eveidence that he is a prophet of God in the Abrahamic monotheistic religion(s)?
A Prophet of God, must have miracles and evidence that he is the messenger of God.
But if he is like those prophets from like Buddishm religion, etc. Then that's another story. I really have not a clue with them.
Internet prophet tho makes me laugh lol.
My advice to you is, if you love God. Just sit down and pray and talk to him.
God is the All Knower, he sees and hears all. He knows all
God may not give you the answer right then and there after you have talked and prayed to him. But he will always answer you.
It can take a day, a few hours, a week, a few weeks, a month, a few months, a year, even two years, and so on.
But he will always answer you
Online prophet??
Thats kinda wierd. I would just pray and wait for Gods answer instead of asking someone i dont even know where he came from
Beware of false prophets.
" If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a miraculous sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder of which he has spoken takes place, and he says, "Let us follow other gods" (gods you have not known) "and let us worship them," you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. It is the LORD your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him.'
Deuteronomy 13:1-4
Jesus said "you will know them (false prophets) by their fruits" - that is, by what kind of results they produce. If they are leading you to God through Jesus Christ and encouraging you to read the Word of God and walk in the ways of God - then they are from God; but if not, they are messengers of Satan.
"For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough....For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve."
II Corinthians 11:4,13-15
Think of a bunch of numbers in your head and then ask him to guess which ones you are thinking of. Or let him guess what you are wearing. Or let him guess some important biographical information. That ought to show if he is real or not.
On line Prophet... ? hahahahaha..
He works with the devil. Its BS
your asking for pain, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. use your instincts.
