When I was still a teenager, my gauge for success has been possession of material assets. To be wealthy and to have a stable and profitable career is to be successful.
But as I grow older but not that wiser :-). My determinants changed and I thought that fame will bring me success. So I courted popularity and I made a lot of achievements, professionally speaking. Still, deep inside me, I can't consider myself as a success.
Well, I still have another decade or so to figure out whether or not I'm a failure or a success eventually.
But in my life I understood that I will not attain success if,
I lived my life through other people's judgment of my own worth and dictate what makes me happy.
If there's one thing in my life that I can consider that I've really succeeded in, it is to live not only for our own sake and interest but for others as well. Because in the end we are remembered by those whom we have touched and inspired.
They can tell if I am a success. There's no other meaning to success except the meaning that we give it.
wow what a great question...I think we can determine if we can be successful in life, after all we are the ones in control right? As a Christian, I think the way to success is putting God first, in everything that we do...and when we do that everything will fall into place...
No I can't determine for myself if my life has been successful or not. All I can say is that I have been blessed with so many things throughout my life. But when it comes to judging if I have been successful or not, it is for other to "measure" this success
Only one can decide for themselves, look back at your life , see what you've accomplished ask yourself how hard you tried, be as honest as you can. If the pros outweigh the cons than you have succeeded. Cheers!
I set mysef a goal, I reach it, I am successful, I don't, I am not.
I determine myself, and I don't wait for people to do it for me, it is my life, and if I am not satsfied myself, it doesn't matter for others to be satisfied with me or not
You know, I for one do not worry about it. If one is happy in what they are doing, not putting pressure on themselves, taking life as it comes, not taking themselves too seriously--good enough.

Hello aussie,

every one can decide if he has been successful in his life since every one has his own aims so depending on these he can decide
You know, I for one do not worry about it. If one is happy in what they are doing, not putting pressure on themselves, taking life as it comes, not taking themselves too seriously--good enough.
