how do you lock a HTC 1x from computer?
say my phone was stolen and i have some files on it that i dont want people to see, how do i lock it from my computer? i know the IOS system has this function and im hoping that the android can do this as well.

Simple. You can't.
If you didn't set a SIM lock and other security/tracking features on your phone before you lost possession of it then there's nothing more you can do except to report the phone as stolen so that it is network blocked. That still won't save your data though.
Android has it's own strengths, but security is definitely not one of them, and even if you do set various security features they are very easy to defeat, even on Android 4.
