so long as you dont have a food allergy to shellfish, and depending on how they're prepared, scallops can be tasty, as for eggplant, its good, either fried, parmigana(sp?) and however else you can cook it
my adivce (for any food) aside from organs, give it a try, you'd be suprised what you might like (like baby octopus tenticles, no real taste, but go great in pasta) despite what it looks like... if its good enough for every one else to eat, it might be good enough for you too
It depends on how you cook them. When I cook them they have a light garlic flavor.
Eggplant for me was a "I'll never eat that!" food when I was a boy because I thought the eggplant was such an ugly thing to take out of the garden. It was a delightful surprise that when served some when I was at a friends house in high school I said it was very good, what was it. I hope the same happens to you.
I do not like eggplant very much, except for if its eggplant parmagiana and not overbaked so the eggplant is like a sponge-yuck. Scallops are delicous! They taste like shrimp! The best way to cook them is fry them in a saute pan with a little butter/oil and add spices like garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper, etc. Scallops are ruined if they are not cooked right.
Scallops are Wonderful! A little butter and garlic...you will love them! And try the eggplant too, it can be used in many recipes. Its great!
Scallops are really delicious. Here are some ways to try them.Curried Scallops.Crumbed Scallops.Scallops in Beer Batter or done in butter.Do not overcook them as they tend to go tough.I quite like eggplant, and is quite nice in a light batter.
Scallops are like sea urchin, either you love them or you hate them, no middle ground. The thing is scallops need to be cooked medium because otherwise they become fibery and tough. Me, personally LOVE them they are soft and buttery, with a smooth finish and a mild flavor that is much more delicate than say shrimp. Now in a Parmesan risotto with a port reduction and wrapped in bacon. . . there is no better appetizer in the World.
scallops are sweet and savory at the first time but i dont really like them, the texture reminds me of raw chicken by try them! many love this seafood. but eggplants great
They are yummy. . . a bit sweet with a firm, smooth texture. Saute them with a bit of olive oil and lemon juice and add some chopped herbs (chives, parsley) and serve with a spinach salad and garlic mashed potatoes. Heaven!
eggplants r great and scallops.......... and i havnt really tasted scallops
