You should go for the six-core processor. The quad-core may have a higher clock speed, but is at its core an inferior CPU to the six-core. In fact, many quad-core processors are actually failed six-core ones, with the faulty cores closed off.
On gaming benchmarks, it may appear that the higher clock speed gives better results, but remember this: The quad-core is already at a high clock with little overclocking headroom, while the six-core still has tons more performance you could get out of it through an overclock.
For video editing, there is absolutely no doubt that the six-core is the way to go.
Probably the quad core, unless you want to run lots of programs simelteeneuosley
Use an x6. It's a lort better for gaming.
