Usb Prob using windows xp- Port does not recognize new device?

Hi,

Im having problems with all my usb ports on my computer. I've had to erase and reload all my software recenty due to a virus. Yet my computer still wont recognize new hardware even with recommended drivers (sony digital camera). My cell phone is also not being detected.

Any known probs are fixes for my situation?...."No USB port works with multiple devices tried"

All other devices work.

I've already deleted usb in device manager restarted and still no go.

    i think you havenot installed the driver for it may be some time the version conflict may also happen so better reinstall all driver for USB newly and check the USB port is working fine or not
