How do I solve a Rubik's cube?

Okay it's not the real Rubik's cube it's a magic cube from the cracker barrel (don't ask) But it's like the same thing. So I literally twisted it twice and 1 minute later it's all scrambled. I heard you can take it apart but how do you do that? Is there some sort of trick to mess it all up and solve it real fast? I need help!
