Puppy names for a cocker spaniel?

I'm getting a golden colored cocker spaniel puppy ( little girl) on december 24th. I'm so excited but I Cant think of names!! I like nellie and lilly (things ending in ie sounds.) I dont want all the usual names like princess and honey. something a little more human and cutesy sounding :D

  • I got a puppy in March and had such a hard time picking a name.

I don't think the color or type of dog really matters. It is all about what you like. Everyone will always have their opinion but when it comes down to it, it is your dog :)

There are so many puppy name websites. I would write down a few and go back and forth.

I ended up naming her Libby. (Liberty Belle)

It fit her perfectly once I had her in my arms.

    Good luck!!

  • First instinct is Lady. Of course lots of Cockers with that name. I like to use something that relates to where the pup came from. What's mothers name? Fathers name? Owners name? What street do they live on? Town?

  • You don't need others opinions to help name a dog. You will look at that little face and something will come to you. My little girl was named Misty because we ended up driving 5 hrs round trip in the misty rain to get her. My boy Franky is because of the town he was born. I'm sure you will think of something great for your new little pup!

I would never sell my pups before xmas! I would wait even if they were ready to go! Please make sure your pup is comfortable as i'm sure there will be alot going on. It sickens me to see even purebreds, let alone Cockers on Craigslist in January because the frustrations of puppyhood are too much to deal with.

  • i actually have a litter of golden cockers right now. they are adorable. our mommy golden cocker, her name is Dreama very cute, i think. her previous owners named her that and we kept it. our golden male is named Buddy. my little boy named him. and we had a cocker years ago named Buster Brown, even though he was black and white. if i can't think of a name i usually won't name them until i've had them a while and get a chance to see their personality. we had a kitten one time we didn't name forever, just called her kitten, finally named her Molly after Andy's little sister in ToyStory. my sons favorite movies.

  • Lady.

Could come up with something special to follow up like Lady Elizabeth.. Lady Antebellum ect

  • Nellianna Brule Nadia (your last name here)
