98 Lincoln towncar air ride compressor?
In my Lincoln towncar when I turn the key to start the car I can hear the air compressor come on for about 30 seconds then it turns off it's like a low buzzing noise is it suppose to make a noise or not the car lifts up and down so I know the air ride works but how can I prevent the air ride from going bad and what are the signs of the air compressor going bad

It is normal operation for the compressor to come on when just started.,if bad,there should be no sound, check suspension light glows on dash,andd rear of the car would drop so low to ground.
it will eventually stop functioning, they all do. there is no cure other than repairing as needed
