Salam Yes I had a gout illness for 10 years.Almost every month I got it and I could not walk because my ankles were swollen.My blood in this case contained too much uric acids above 7.0.My doctor suggested me to drink at least 1.5 litre or 15 glasses fresh water everyday and avoid another water except milk which contains the lowest acids.So I did not drink tea and coffee and all of soft drinks.I avoided also to eat halal foods and vegetables which contan high acids. or purines.
By practising doctor's suggestion now alhamdulillah I have never such illness again except when I disobeyed the doctor's prohibitions.
It is in line with the suggestion of Allah as stated in the Qur'an that we should eat halal and thoyib (good) foods and drinks and we stop eating before satisfaction.
