  • Bras rarely shrink. They are more likely to stretch out and become looser.

    A. measure the distance around your chest, under the breasts and shoulder blades.

    B. measure around the breasts at the widest point.

    C. add 5 inches to A. this is your band size.

    D. subtract C from B. If the difference is less than an inch your cup size is AA, 1 inch-A, 2 inches-B, 3 inches-C, 4 inches-D, 5 inches-DD, 5 1/2 inches-DDD, 6 inches-F, 6 1/2 inches-FF, 7 inches-G, 8 inches-H, 9 inches-I, 10 inches-J, 11 inches-K, 12 inches L, 13 inches-M.

For best accuracy have someone else measure you while you are wearing only a thin t-shirt.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'd think bras shrinking would depend on the fabric, but I don't think very many would shrink.

You may just have gotten slightly bigger up there but don't really see the change because it was so gradual.

If you want to know your exact size, go to a store with a specified lingerie section (Victoria's Secret, Macy's, etc.) and ask someone to measure you. Otherwise get a tape measure and wrap it around your ribcage for the number part, and then over the fullest part of your chest for the cup size. Subtract the difference between your chest and ribcage to get the cup. 1 inch = A cup, 2 inches = B cup, so on.
