The first official school was founded by Charlemagne, although reserved for rich people. The emperor who founded the Holy Roman Empire, as we all know, was a great fighter and an able military stratrega, but he was illiterate and so he decided to invent the school, where his scribes, philosophers and people of culture were made available for teaching, reading, writing. He didn't want young boys were illiterate like him, because he realized that literacy would serve him as well. If it was not gone in this way, we won't be here writing on a computer.
