1) A spaceship moves at half the speed of light and shines a beam of light forward and a beam of light backward. As seen from the observer, will the beam of light shining forward appear to move faster that the one shining backward?

1.) No, the observer will detect no change in the speed of the two light beams.
2.) The equations will be no more useful than the complexity of the universe. Relativity and Quantum mechanics are not the last unknown in the world of physics. There will be new questions, new unknowns. Relativity and quantum mechanics for example, fail to explain gravity and it's interaction on time completely.

no, because speed of light is constant. if u move forward while aiming a torch and stand still while aiming a torch. as long as u start in the same spot, the rays of light will be moving right next to eachother.
2nd one isnt a question, so dont know what to say. sounds rediculous to me, physics will always be necessary, to build bridges, sky scrapes etc. its like saying finding the meaning of life will mean life is no longer worth living
