Viewsonic 32" TV as a computer monitor?
I have a N3290w 32" Viewsonic LCD HDTV. I also have an older dell pc. I hooked up the monitor to the computer using a vga cable. It works but i can not get it to go widescreen. its like centered in the middle of the tv and black on both sides. I tried all of the settings and none of them work. I don't know what to do!!!!

You have to alter your resolution settings in your OS. For windows: go to control panel > Appearance > Display and select the proper resolution. (In Vista it's just control panel > appearance > change resolution.
For OS X go to system preferences > Displays.
Check on the setting for picture, from what you mentioned you are on the 4X3 mode screen. Select the 16X9 mode on the selection menu and that should give you the picture for the whole scree.
