Acura RSX Type S Mods?
I just got a black 2005 Acura RSX type S and am wondering what are some recommended mods to get. I have 700 to use, and probably wont get money until next year, so what is the best mods to get for 700?

None! Honda made a nice car. If you rice it up you'll turn it to junk. I'm a mechanic and I see it all the time, former nice cars, turned to crap with "mods".
typical starting points are a cold air intake and a high flow cat back exhaust. For $700 you will have to look for deals. I would recommend if you buy something used it would be a CAI, used exhausts will probably have a very limited life span. There's not alot of difference in CAI's, really just an aluminum pipe with a cone filter at the end, unless you get one of those fancy one's with a chamber or velocity stack. For an exhaust, stick with something high quality made of stainless steel with a good muffler. Like apexi ws2 or borla. These have mufllers that are fairly large and long, to absorb more sound (not like those n1 style fart can mufflers that are really small with a huge tip, those are designed for race cars that do not need to worry about sound and most of the ones out there are cheap quality). The muffler should also have offset inlet/outlet, that is the inlet is not directly inline with the outlet, so if you looked thru one end, you could not see straight thru, there would be a slight bend. This bend will not affect performance to any measure able amount and will deflect sound waves into the muffler for better sound absorption. If you use high quality parts and dont beat on it and maintain it, you car will last. If you put cheap crap on your car and dont maintain it like alot of ******* out there, than your car will turn to crap and be worth nothing, like the other guy said.
i would say a good quality set of coilovers, but i dont know of any for 700 dollars...
my next bet would be DC headers and a good intake system.
and finally, the most important thing, tires, falken makes good tires with really good grip
its all up to what you wanna do later on down the line, whether it be turbo, naturally aspirated, or supercharged.
sidenote, just because you modify your ride, doesnt make you a ricer, its the way you do it, such as putting a budget exhaust on which is more of a fart can than anything else. make sure you stick with parts for your car that are engineered to make power, not to "make it sound cool"
go to clubrsx.com jump on the message boards there ul be able to get more for ur moneyt however its not all gonna be new but i would start with intake and a race header and exhaust that alone new would be 700 but trust me if u want a faster car ull definetly want to start there but if u want a better looking ride start with the type r wing side markers and the type r lips just check clubrsx first ull see wat u want

you shouldnt have to replace your light bulbs frequently unless it looks like you have an issue or you use them alot. Same thing will happen if you get a HID kit because all bulbs have a number of hours of use before they go bad or sometimes just go bad randomly. And yes black housing headlights looks better. you can get all these parts on ebay
cold air intake to start. AEM makes a good one its 300. and with the remaining money save up for headers and exhaust. start looking for an exhaust shop.
the intake you can order and put on yourself right away
