How do you solve this dynamics problem?

What is the distance between the Moon and the Earth if the mass of the moon is 7.34x10^22kg, and the force of attraction between the two is 2.00x10^20N?

At the start of the chapter problems it states the common constants: the mass of Earth is 5.98x10^24kg, the radius of the earth is 6.38x10^6m, and G is 6.67x10^-11Nm^2/kg^2.

Thanks... Sorry if it's a bit hard to read.

Comments

  • F = Gm1m2/r^2

    F = 2.00x10^20N

    G = 6.67x10^-11Nm^2/kg^2

    m1 = 7.34x10^22kg

    m2 = 5.98x10^24kg

    put the values in the above equation and solve for r.

  • F = (G) (m1) (m2)/R²

    F = 2.00e20 N

    m1 = 5.98e24 kg

    m2 = 7.34e22 kg

    G = 6.67e-11 N-m²/kg²

    R = ?

    one equation, one unknown can U solve for R?
