Algebra 11 word problem help?
I just need help setting up the equation, i can get it from there:
you are taking flying lessons to get a private polots license. the cost of the intro lesson is 5/8 the cost of each additional lesson, which is $80. you have a total of $375 to spend on the lessons. how many can you afford? how much money will you have left?
Update:ha. it's supposed to be aglebra 2, i thought the ones would look more like roman numerals.

The first intro lesson cost :
(5/8)*$80=400/$80=$50
you have a total of $375 to spend -The first intro lesson $50=$325
You can afford
325/80=4+5/80 ~4 lessons that cost you $320
You have left with =
$375-$50-$320=$5
the first lesson is 5/8 $80
$50
375-50=80x
325=80x
4.0625
4 lessons
unless you start a lesson and the teacher makes you get out at .0625 of the lesson
LOL
