Do birth control pills help acne?
Im 24 and still suffer from acne- ugh- do birth control really work-anyone with experience please let me know. I just am hesitant because i also heard birth control makes you gain weight too. but i really am tired of acne on my face- people still think im like 18 because of it- well plus i am petite as well. =p
Update:oh also i eat right- veggies, fruits, very low carb, i drink alot of water and excercise daily. I do not eat sweets or anything with high fructose corn syrup or any dairy as well. so i know it cannot be my diet causing acne.

Not all birth control pills prevent acne but some do! Some also make you gain wait, but that depends on the pill and on the person. Birth control pills is something you have to discuss with your doctor anyways so I suggest you talk to him or her about it. They can also prescribe you something for your acne and then you don't need the pills.
The things you eat have no affect on your skin whatsoever, I asked my dermatologist. (Unless of course if you are allergic to something

Only few birth control pills help in acne.
yes birth control help with the acne, but you gain 2-5 pounds thats it after 3 months ure body gets used to it, and u dont gain no more weight
yeah birth control helps. and dont worry about gaining the weight because it will only be a couple of pounds that will hardly make a difference.
Yes they can. One of my friends had a terrible acne problem. I maen she had zits and pimples ALL over her face and back. Once she got on BC they slowly started to go away. =]
i don't know about birth control but i use the neutragena wave and that helps quite a bit it makes your skin really soft too
