Can I Upgrade to a Quad Core Processor?

My motherboard is an ASUSTek LEUCITE3.

My current processor is an Intel Pentium D 805.

Is it at all possible for me to upgrade to a quad core processor? I can provide more information if needed.

@r3dhatter: Hrm. You're the second person to tell me that it's hopeless. I guess I'll just have to get a new motherboard then.

    I'd get an Intel i5 or i7 Quad Core, rather than just an Intel Core 2 Quad. From statistics, the performance is nearly doubled.

    If youre thinking about upgrading Core i7 received 5 out of 5 stars for best over-all processing. But youre going to have to upgrade nearly all if not everything including case ;)

    That's plenty of information. You can absolutely upgrade, if you buy a completely new computer.
