Do I qualify for Irish citizenship by descent?
We just found out this was possible...
My Grandmother (71) has all the proof she needs to become a citizen by foreign births register in Ireland. Will my mother (48) qualify for Irish citizenship when my grandmother becomes a citizen? And if my mother becomes a citizen, since I am a minor (16) will I get automatic citizenship from her?
Please no mean answers, be honest but not harsh please!
Thank You for your time and help!

Well your grandma would have to go there to claim her citizenship and live there. Then, your mom would have to do the same. Then, you could get it.
Yes I think you actually can apply for Irish Citizenship even if your grandparents are long deceased as Long as you have proof they were born on the Island its ok.
Yes, you do. You can check it out on the internet. A friend of mine did it and now has two passports.
