when it shows this profile is private how do you hide that info showing on the side so people who arent my frnds cant read it from the outside
If you're meaning yahoo id profile page, you can't.
But if you're meaning yahoo answers profile page. Click on "profile" that is to the far right when you sign into answers.
click on "edit profile information". That should do it. Then you can click "public view of my profile". That lets you know what we see.
