Psst... not worth upgrading...
Anyway, you'll need to look up the model of your computer, or the model number printed on the motherboard, and verify what kind of RAM it's compatible with. Chances are it can't support more than 1GB RAM -- it might not even support more than 512MB RAM. Older motherboards had a limit that was fairly low.
I can tell you for sure, though, that it's NOT compatible with DDR2. It's most likely PC2100 DDR RAM that you'll need. Check the documentation to determine how much it can handle, though. Also, you can't mix both types, so you'll need to pull the old RAM if you upgrade it.
You have said already that you have four type of ram slots (yes you can have both DDR1 and DDR2 slots in same board) ...DDR2 is best of the above said memories...its lot cheaper than DDR1 and faster..also make sure that your mother board supports that much of ram ( you can check this in catlogue or in the host site by entering the mother board type number)...don't forget to check ram speed ( it will be in Hz). I think you can go up to 1200 Hz...kingston is a good company but be careful about ram temperatures as it can burn high clocking rams...provide good air circulation....happy upgrade..
You cannot normally mix types of RAM.
ok 1st thing u need to give us ur mobo model nd mostlikely u shud have a ddr 1 slot
