Do I have diabetes, or am I just paranoid?
I've been experiencing fits of rapid heart beating, fatigue, cold hands and feet, dizziness when standing up, and tremors in hands for the past few months. These symptoms all happen on and off. I went to the doctor and the doctor suspected that it was maybe anemia or hyperthyroidism, so I got some blood work done and everything came back normal. For the past day or two, I've been feeling more hungry than usual a few hours after meals and it's seriously freaking me out. I'm 18 and although i'm average weight and eat very healthily, I don't exercise much. Could it be diabetes? I don't have a history of diabetes in my family, though my father does have a slight problem with high cholesterol. If I exercise more would I solve the problem? I have a bit of an OCD problem, so all this reading about possible diseases is really stressing me out.

I wouldn't worry about diabetes from the symptoms you described, it really does sound like anemia, but you have already been checked for that, so it may be a hormonal issue. With diabetes one major symptom is EXTREME thirst, to the point that you cannot drink enough fluids to quench your thirst.
Perhaps a little bit of research on diabetes would calm your nerves for you. Some of the symptoms are: weight loss appetite that is not satisfied by eating being overweight excessive thirst excessive urination If someone in your close family has diabetes you are at a higher risk for developing diabetes The list goes on, however, these are usually the warning signs that your sugar may be a bit high. It is easy just to go to your GP or clinic and get it checked but to have an accurate reading you need to go in the morning and have a fasting sugar blood test (so if your last meal is the evening and you don't eat in the morning before your blood test) That will give your doctor a good indication of how high your sugar is. If you still want the sandwich but are worried about the sugar, eat the inside of the sandwich (the fillings) and leave the roll / bun as that is a refined carbohydrate and is converted into sugar / glucose in the body. Change your diet slightly to help you feel better. But check your sugar and make sure.

diagnosis of diabetes:
1)symptoms of diabetes (eating a lot ,drinking a lot ,peeing a lot) +
non fasting blood glucose over 200
2)fasting blood glucose (fasting for at least 8 hours) >= 126
3)two-hour plasma glucose >= 200 mg/dl during an oral glucose tolerance test
I think you are being a bit paranoid. If the blood work came back fine, stop worrying.
Those aren't symptoms of diabetes ( I'm diabetic), but might be of low blood sugar. Ask your doctor to check you for that. Good luck !
Just paranoid
