English Regents 2010, Critical Lens Essay?

Just curious, what books did you guys use?

Was it Easy? Hard?

Update:

Y'all are killing me. D=

I should've done the great gatsby. Just didnt occur to me =\

Update 3:

@tennisplayer15

YEAH. seriously.

I messed up pretty bad on the critical lens...the one essay I thought Id do really well in. GAH. I thought yesterday's essays were easier than todays critical lens. I hated the quote. Took me like a good 14 minutes to come up with a book (besides frankenstein).

Comments

  • I used Scarlet Letter and Frankenstein... I was the only one in my school who used Frankenstein and so I feel like a idiot now D:(everybody else used the Crucible and the Scarlet Letter)

I thought it was hard simply because my first essay was so long and I felt mentally exhausted after having to write it!

  • English Critical Lens

  • I thought that it was the only hard essay question. I agreed tho.. and I used The Great Gatsby and Ethan Frome. I messed up on this essay but im hoping for 5's and 6's for the other 3. The multiple choice was easy for day 1 and day 2! i think i got 26/26 correct. Good luck and i hope you get a high grade!! (btw i think the regents was fair, not to easy.. not to hard..)

  • I used "A Streetcar Named Desire" by Tennesse Williams

and i used "The Catcher In The Rye" by J.D. Salinger

    i found it easy :)

  • I picked catcher in the eye and The great Gatsby...

I disagreed with the qoute and I showed how one can not know how wrongly they are.

  • Without the conclusion the highest you can get is a 3.5 that is the. Equivalent of a 60% as long as you did your best on the rest of the test you might still pass! Hope you did! Good luck!

  • i used lord of the flies.

    and kite runner.

it was ight .i knew the stuff i just didnt know how to get it on the paper. lol

how did yall use the books u chose.

  • I defended the quote and wrote about Macbeth (Shakespeare) and Black and White (Volponi).

  • kite runner and the fountainhead

  • gatsby death of salesmen
