  • If there is no traction control switch then it does not have traction control. There are a couple problems with your attempts... #1 - Neutral Drop an Explorer and you will blow the U-Joints on the drive shaft. #2 it's probably a V6 which is low in power. Shut off Over Drive or you'll burn up your transmission. Shut off 4x4 or you'll never be able to explain to your parents how you burned up the front trans-axle.. then put your foot on the brake (pending that you do not have ABS) and Push the E-Brake, then put your foot completely on the gas. This will burn up your brakes (Front and Back) in about 10 seconds, and destroy your tires in the same amount of time.

The Total Cost of doing this is about 700 for brakes... That cost pends that you do not pull your Brake Calipers off their holdings.

    and 800 for tires.

By the way, if you bald your tires and blow one out, you're as good as dead.

  • Why would you power brake an over sized station wagon. If is not equipped with four wheel drive, dump it. Get one that is . The answer to your question would be not to. Those things are top heavy and flip over and probably kill you. Remember the Firestone incident. Ford is to blame for that boo boo. They ordered the tire from Firestone, wanted it built to the designers specs and engineer's specs. Remember all tires on new cars are designed by the maker of the auto and tire makers produce them to exacting detail. That is why you can' get certain tires for certain cars because of the offset of the tire and the handling of the auto.

  • Drop the v-8 that is supposed to go in that thing..put a charger or some nitrous on it and nail that puppy..... If not water on pavement may help a little :-)

Also tire guy.... Tires are made by tire manufacturer... You can't get certain tires for certain offsets due to a> car company designing car for certain use (Ie explorers weren't made for 20s) and b. tire company usually knowing the market for it's tire. (knowing people won't put a offroad tire on a escort)

  • These are gutless. Buy a real car/truck for this. People will just look at you like you are an idiot doing this.

A real car you only need to mash the accelerater and hold on.

  • you probably dont have enough power. when you hit the brakes slide it to reverse, without releasing the brake go back to drive & try that.

  • stomp the E-Brake and whip wheel. keep your hand on that e- brake release though!!!

  • Oh man! That would be SO cool!

    Loser.
