How to fix a stuck garage door?
Hey guys, my garage door is stuck. Every time i use my remote to close it, it closes a couple inches, then goes back all the way up & it's light flashes. I tried the same thing with the actual button next to the door, but same result. Opening it is never a problem, only closing it. Now to close it, I have to have someone stand by the actual button and hold it down until the door completely shuts. This is the only way it closes. I dont think its a problem with the batteries in the remote, cuz the same problem is there with the button. I've checked my sensors, they're all clear. I don't know what to do ...Any ideas? Any answer is appreciated:)

You probably have a faulty pressure sensor that prevents the garage door to close on top of an object (like a child). This sensor is located a different places depending upon the brand but is probably in the power head or near the end of the track near the power head or along the bottom edge of the garage door. If the door is binding or something prevents the door from closing, the sensor thinks there's something in the way and causes the garage door to reopen. Only by holding the button down do you override that sensor. So, since the door closes manually, I'd have to suspect the sensor itself.
The sensor I'm referring to is different that the "electric eye" that's located at the bottom of each garage door track (that keeps the door from operating at all).
Drive through it, that'll teach that jap made garage
