Do Cervical Cancer Jabs Hurt?

My cervical cancer jabs are coming up soon. Im in year 8 at high school and im worried because everyone who has had them says they REALLY hurt. Are they just saying this?

Please could you tell me, if you have had the jabs, what they feel like and if they hurt, and if it makes your arm ache after? :\ Thaaanksss.

  • It's not that bad. I'm in year 11 and had mine last year. The first one was on my birthday! I was dreading it, but I didn't even notice when the needle went in. It will be a bit sore afterwards, but this happens after every jab. Just try to move your arm as much as you can (even if it hurts!) to get the blood going. You get more used to it after the first one. Just remember, you're having this jab to protect you against cervical cancer. Would you rather have a little needle in your arm or cervical cancer? I know what I'd choose! You'll be fine!

  • I guess it depends on the person... Personally I think they feel like any other shot. Its really not that bad and certainly nothing to cry other. Cervical Cancer on the other hand is way worse than a little jab.
