Windows 7 upgrade issue?

I downloaded Windows 7 Professional to my HP Compaq laptop that used to be running Vista. I had to do a complete upgrade b/c I was going from Vista ''HOME'' to 7 ''PROFESSIONAL'', which means I had to put everything on my computer onto back-up discs. But, now after I reloaded everything back onto my computer, none of my programs like Norton or Adobe can be found. Can someone please help!! And only IT professional please, I need to get this problem fixed as soon as possible. Thanks.

  • back up backs up all your files not programs. those will need to be re downloaded or installed by disk, if norton was bought on the net you can log in and redl and install, if it from disk just re install. adobe dose not come with win7, you will have to find an alternative pdf reader.

all programs will need to be re downloaded. a good idea is to type up a list of what you can remember and find and install, also you mite need to install the drivers for your computer. normally you go to the computer manufactures site to find those.

    best of luck.

  • Well, you need install the programs since Windows 7 install wipe out everything.

  • Ya shopper provider sucks. i won't be able to assert precisely what to do as i've got by no ability labored with your laptop (I basically have an hp which continues to be working XP/Ubuntu), yet i'm going to provide you some suggestions. First uninstall despite led to it to fail the 1st time. in case you nonetheless won't be able to uninstall it, manually delete its folder from this device records and then working the uninstaller lower back ought to have living house windows do away with the get admission to from the registry (in basic terms make confident its the proper folder first). attempt installation it lower back at that component. i might assume that in case you driving force labored below vista it is going to artwork below living house windows 7 (they ought to be backwards properly suited).
