what does a army 74 delta do?

questions on army 74 delta airborne not sure havent really found anything on it

and im having a baby boy due before i leave for basic so does the BAH kick in once i leave for basic. is 74 d a good job in the army?

    I am a 74D. Chemical Operations Specialist. It depends on what unit you get assigned to. If you go to a non-chemical unit, then life is good. You get to issue equipment and goof off a lot and go home early unless your First Sergeant is a jerk. If you go to a chemical unit, it sucks. I have been in both. Stay away from Fort Polk, LA, Fort Campbell, KY, and Ft Drum, NY if you go chemical.

    WTH is a 74D? remember the army recently changed alot of the MOS classifications.
