do you consider chris bosh a dominant big man?
despite michael jordan, kobe bryant, and lebron james all winning championships, one thing that jodran always had to separate himself was the fact that he was able to win without a dominant big man. kobe had shaquille o'neal and pau gasol, and lebron had chris bosh.
jordan did have dennis rodman for the second three-peat, but even though he is an all-time great defender and a phenomenal rebounder, he wasn't a force on offense like shaq, gasol, and bosh are. also rodman wasn't really a true big man because 6'6" isn't exactly "big" in the nba.
but is chris bosh considered a dominant big man despite being a third option for the heat? he's still an 18 and 10 player, and has more all-star selections (7) than rodman (2) and gasol (4) combined.

I didn't watch him too frequently when he was on the Raptors, but I don't think of him as "dominant" on the Heat.
That may be out of his control given the talent he is playing with, but he just doesn't qualify as such now.
Before I answer, I'll just say how I feel about all star appearances. It's just a popularity contest. People vote for who they like. I've never put too much stock into all star appearances.
Now to the question: No. Bosh is a very good player. He's proven in Toronto that he isn't dominant. If he really was dominant, Bosh would've done more in Toronto. Dominant to me means a player can win as the best player on his team, or at least the second best player on a team.
EDIT: I forgot to mention stats. Dominant players have better stats than Bosh. Rodman, for example, was a top rebounder in the league for years. I'm not saying Rodman was dominant, but he was better than Bosh. It's offense vs. defense, and I'd take Rodman over Bosh any day.
Bc the NBA needs to go the league in a "new direction" and does not truly need to embody the old techniques gamers performed. They made the lanes bigger and the no fee lane, extra a three factor line, and truly had to sport geared in direction of the gaurds. the modifications got here around the time micheal jordon substitute into playing and the NBA needed a sparkling face bc the league substitute into hitting some demanding cases.
LOL hell no.
