Can dogs sense death ?

If somebody like overdosed and died upstairs and the dog was downstairs, would they sense it? What do you think they do?

  • Um, I don't think so. I think they'd eventually stumble upon the body. And dogs are loyal, but they still have to satisfy their most basic needs, which their owner can no longer provide. Unless....

  • People see it as 'sensing' death, but the real deal is that they can smell it. In natural deaths, people get pretty hot before they die, and dogs and cats alike like the heat. There have been stories of people dying and their dog becoming depressed and/or refusing to leave the body. Some dogs even guard the graves of their owners. Sorry for straying for the subject! The answer is yes and no.

  • I dont think dogs are psychics but I do believe they have a sixth sense
