I have chickens and blueberry bushes. My chickens would always jump up to reach the berries. They also liked eating rasberrys and strawberrys. They ate jsut about any berry I gave them.
I have a fruit orchard in India,i also rear free range poultry. Many of my fruit bushes & smaller plants have been planted with my poultry in mind, they love to jump & reach for a ripe soft fruit on the bush, this not only gives them something to keep busy but also provides diet variety & the goodness of fruit as well.
My birds love barbados cherries, mulberries & other soft fruit like papaya, star fruit etc, which when overripe drop of the tree.
