which is better 2-Way Coaxial speaker JBL 45rms and 93dB .. vs Component system from sony 60 rms and 87 dB .. ?

    if you have an amplifier get the sony's,if you don't have an amp get the jbl's

    the problem with sony is their marketing.they will take a 250 watt rms subwoofer and print "1200 watts" on the cone.then take the 350 watt amplifier and print 1500 watts on top of it in large letters

    then somebody buys them thinking they are getting a 1200 watt stereo.they hook it up and are thinking " my buddies 500 watt rockford fosgate is way louder than my 1200 watt sony.sony sucks!"

    Sony car audio equipment is all junk. Component sets generally sound better than coaxials but most Sony car speakers, amps and head units have terrible sound quality. I would chose the JBL's especially if you do not plan on using a amplifier. Most large car audio brands sound better than Sony. Sony makes some good products but their car audio equipment is weak.
